SOUTH AFRICAN CORPORATE VISA

WHAT IS A SOUTH AFRICAN CORPORATE VISA?
A South African Corporate Visa allows registered South African companies to employ a specific number of foreign nationals in designated roles. This visa is aimed at addressing critical skills shortages by enabling companies to hire qualified foreign employees efficiently.

Unlike individual work visas, the Corporate Visa streamlines the application process by allowing employers to sponsor multiple foreign workers under a single permit. This simplifies management and reduces administrative burdens.

To qualify for a Corporate Visa, employers must:
<br
  • Demonstrate a genuine need for foreign employees to fill critical skills gaps

  • Comply with regulatory requirements, including labour market testing
  • Show evidence of efforts to recruit local South African candidates
  • Adhere to guidelines set by the Department of Home Affairs
  • WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE CORPORATE VISA

STEPS TO OBTAIN A CORPORATE VISA

    STEP 1

Before applying for a South African Corporate Visa, companies must first obtain a Recommendation Certificate from the Department of Employment and Labour.

The Department of Labour’s process can be complex and time-consuming. It includes a compliance inspection of the employer’s premises, where the company must demonstrate that job opportunities are not being taken away from South African citizens. This is a critical step before the Labour Certificate application can be finalised.

Our market-leading approach helps employers and corporates navigate this process efficiently. We ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and compliance requirements are met before submitting applications to the Department of Employment and Labour.

With extensive experience, we have successfully secured numerous corporate work visas and renewals across various industries for many employers.

    STEP 2

After successfully obtaining the Recommendation Certificate from the Department of Employment and Labour, we proceed to submit the Corporate Visa application to the Department of Home Affairs.

In this application, we carefully compile and provide all required company details to clearly demonstrate the legitimate need to employ the requested number of foreign nationals.

    STEP 3

Once your company has been granted the South African Corporate Visa, we assist with submitting individual visa applications for expatriates under the Corporate Visa umbrella.

Processing times for these individual visas vary by country but typically range from 3 to 6 weeks for approval.

Additionally, there are special streamlined processes available to expedite individual visa endorsements, helping to reduce waiting times and simplify compliance.
