  • A motivation letter in Portuguese and signed by the host company in Angola, which explains why a foreigner is required to fill the vacancy and confirms that no Angolan nationals were available for the position.

  • A positive evaluation from the Ministry of Labour. This letter confirms that the Ministry of Labour has no objection to the foreigner filling the vacancy. It must be obtained locally by the host company in Angola.
  • Updated CV, tertiary qualification, transcripts, and reference letters on the applicant’s skills, employer’s motivation.
  • Medical certificates.

Document List and Requirements

  • Copy of job advert not older than six (6) months old.
  • Contract of employment.
  • Application letter for work (signed). Letter of offer or appointment letter.
  • Applicants’ Curriculum vitae (CV). Certified copies of educational certificates. Please note that all certificates in foreign languages must be translated to English and be confirmed by Botswana Qualification Authority.
  • Certified copy of a valid passport – biographic data page (picture, passport number, date of birth, birthplace, expiry, etc.).

  • Clearance from relevant professional regulatory bodies.

  • Proof of a company representative acting on the employee’s behalf to apply for the work permit.

Once a foreign national gets a work permit, their temporary/tourist visa, will get converted into a work visa. 5 – 10 business days processing time for tourist visa. 6 – 7 months processing time for work visa.

Multiple Stage Process

After the work permit request gets approved by the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration, they’ll notify the closest Egyptian consulate to authorize a tourist visa. Then, your employees can come to Egypt and spend four to six weeks securing a work permit. They can work during this time as long as they hand in all the applicable documents for a work permit.

Ghana

  • Copy of succession plan which shall include an understudy training program to be conducted by the foreign national to transfer knowledge and/or skills to the Zambian worker.
  • A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation.
  • In the case of Construction, Mining Sector, ICT, Engineering and other project based engagements, a covering letter specifying the project on which the expatriate would be employed, copy of letter of award specifying completion date and value of project must be submitted.
  • Original Press advertisements which have appeared in two leading newspapers in A5 size. Name of Newspaper and date of advert should be clearly visible on the press advert and outcome of selection exercise must also be submitted.

Types of Visas with processing times

Long-Term Work Permit 7 – 14 Business days for processing issued to foreign nationals who have a formal offer of employment in Zambia. Foreign nationals cannot be a shareholder of the company. Important to note that during adjudication, Immigration may request to conduct a company inspection.

Multiple Stage Process

Long-term work permits must be applied for before traveling to Zambia as you may not enter before the permit has been approved.

Extension of Visa

Renewable for up to ten (10) years, however, every renewal will only be for a two (2) year period.
