Following the success of Xpatweb’s Global Mobility events held in 2022, our clients and other corporates requested that we host this event annually. This year’s conference will be hosted by Marisa Jacobs (Managing Director) and the esteemed Mr Phindiwe Mbhele (Director, Corporate Accounts) from the Department of Home Affairs.

MEET THE SPEAKERS

Phindiwe Mbhele – Acting Chief Director: Permits at the Department of Home Affairs (DHA)

Mr Mbhele’s directorate is responsible for the adjudication and issuance of temporary residence visas for corporates as well as the drafting and publishing of the Critical Skills List in consultation with the Department of Higher Education and Training, the Department of Labour, and relevant stakeholders.

Mr Mbhele will be giving an update on the latest processes and systems in the Department, 1 year after the reversal of the centralised adjudication system. He will also share insight on the new Critical Skills List and its implementation.
