INTRA-COMPANY TRANSFER WORK VISA

A CRITICAL SKILLS WORK VISA
The Critical Skills Work Visa  in South Africa targets foreign nationals with skills deemed critical or scarce, helping to address key labor shortages and support the country’s economic development. Â

The Minister of Home Affairs has in October 2024 introduce a Points-Based System for adjudication of General Work Visas, and waived the need to apply for a Department of Employment and Labour Certificate.Â
SOUTH AFRICAN GENERAL WORK VISA
The General Work Visa is designed for foreign nationals who want to work in South Africa but do not qualify for positions on the Critical Skills List. As of October 2024, the Minister of Home Affairs introduced a new Points-Based System for processing General Work Visa applications. Additionally, applicants are no longer required to obtain a Certificate from the Department of Employment and Labour, streamlining the visa application process. Â
